WTK: Russian Ak-47 type 56-1 from Iraq

I have came across alot of old stuff my brother had from his sevice in the Army.. He died last year In Iraq was killed with a IED. Any way he had brought some stuff back as souveniers I guess, I'm trying to figure out what exactly has been left to me by my brother!! I dont have the special license for Automatic so it would be nice to know if this is in my best intrest to get ride of or hang on to it?? The only stampings I can find on it is on the Bolt 11359 is Engraved SS is also engraved in front of the actual bolt on the right hand side of the front of the lower reciever. On the other side it say A wierd triangle with a 26 inside it followed by 56-1 then 26011359 on the left hand side... It is a stamped reciever it has the under folder stock on the front of the barrel thier is a 7 right side up and a 4 up side down right below the front sight.. Feels like a synthetic pistol grip!! It is a real rose color wood or paint!!
